ARCHITECTURE SUMMARY · 1 OF 4

Why a Unified Mobile App

Three separate web apps today; one mobile app, three modules, tomorrow.
TODAY

Atlas, Hub and Triage are three separate web applications, each with its own backend and URL. They are built for the desk and reached through the browser or Teams. For partners who are constantly mobile, there is no single, purpose-built way to use them on a phone — so the most time-sensitive work waits for a laptop.

WHERE WE'RE GOING

One mobile app on iOS and Android, with Atlas, Hub and Triage living inside it as modules. A single Microsoft sign-in opens all three. It reaches the existing systems directly — no new backend — putting the firm's contacts, documents and priorities in partners' hands wherever they are.

Reuses the existing Web APIs

The mobile app consolidates three separate products into one experience without rebuilding anything underneath. One codebase serves both app stores, one sign-in covers all three modules, and the existing backends are reused as-is — so we add reach, not complexity or cost.

ARCHITECTURE SUMMARY · 3 OF 4

How It Works

One app shell, three modules, on top of the systems we already run.
01
One App, Three Modules
A single app hosts Atlas, Hub and Triage as modules. A home screen opens each module full-screen — one install, one experience.
02
Shared Core
Common building blocks — sign-in, networking, design and navigation — are written once and shared across all three modules and both platforms.
03
One Login, One Token
A single Microsoft sign-in covers all three modules — no repeated logins as users move between them.
04
Talks to Existing Systems
Each module calls its existing Web API directly. No new backend, no new database — the app is a new front door to what we already have.
05
Always Connected
An online app over the live APIs. Nothing confidential is stored on the device, which keeps the security surface small.
06
Built to Last
Each module is loosely coupled, so it can later point at the firm's unified AI-OS memory layer without an app rewrite.

Login & Security

Sign in once with Microsoft; security stays where it belongs — on the server.
01
Single Microsoft Sign-In
Users log in once with their existing Microsoft (Entra) account — the same identity they already use. No new passwords.
02
One Sign-In, All Modules
That one sign-in covers Atlas, Hub and Triage. Consent is requested once, up front.
03
Access Enforced Server-Side
Every request is authorised by the backend, fail-closed. The device is never the authority on who can see what.
04
Per-User Segregation
Triage keeps each person to their own mailbox, enforced at the data layer — unchanged on mobile.
05
Full Audit Trail
Every action is logged, exactly as on the web apps. The new channel adds reach, not blind spots.
06
Safe on the Device
Biometric unlock, encrypted token storage, and no confidential data stored locally — safe even if a phone is lost.

What this screen does
  • Splash — the app launches on the brand screen and silently checks for an existing session. A returning user never types a password — the session resumes and goes straight to the biometric gate.
  • Sign in — first-time (or signed-out) users see one button: Sign in with Microsoft. It uses the firm's existing Entra identity with MFA enforced — no new credentials are created.
  • Trust line — the screen states the security posture plainly: single sign-on, MFA enforced.
One identity, zero new passwords
The same Microsoft account partners already use unlocks all three modules.

What this screen does
  • Biometric offer — after the first successful login, the app offers Face ID / fingerprint unlock. The choice is remembered and can be changed later in Settings.
  • Unlock on return — when biometrics are enabled, every launch and resume is gated by Face ID (iOS) or fingerprint (Android) before any content shows.
  • Fallback — users can always fall back to a full Microsoft sign-in.

What this screen does
  • Bottom navigation — Triage, Atlas and Hub sit on a Material 3 navigation bar. Triage is the default tab; one tap switches module — no re-login, no app switching.
  • Entitlement-aware — tabs appear only for the modules a user is actually authorised to use. Access is decided by the backends, not the device.
  • Module preview — each tab is a full product: Triage's prioritised conversations, Atlas's contact directory, and Hub's document tree with type-coded files (shown full-screen, as rendered for a single-entitled user).
One install, one experience
Three products that used to be three URLs are now three tabs.

What this screen does
  • Settings — pushed from the gear icon: biometric toggle, light/dark/system theme, and a confirmed sign-out. No tab bar here — it's an overlay over the whole app.
  • Zero modules — a user with no entitlements is told clearly and routed back to sign-in — the app never shows an empty shell.
NOTE: The shell also handles 6+ future modules with a “4 + More” overflow pattern — designed, not yet needed.

What this screen does
  • Quadrant pills — every email thread is auto-classified into Do now · Schedule · Delegate · Drop. Tapping a pill filters the list; All shows every open thread, most urgent first.
  • KPI strip — the numbers that matter at a glance: awaiting you, awaiting them, to delegate, days without reply.
  • Thread cards — each card carries the AI's next step (“Approve the revenue forecast on slide 14…”), the project, counterparty type and status — readable in one glance, one-handed.
  • Filter button — a floating filter opens status / counterparty / project filters (next slide).
BLUF — bottom line up front
The AI's suggested next step is on the card itself; the partner often doesn't need to open the thread.

What this screen does
  • Filtered view — a selected quadrant plus active filter chips (here: Banks · Board Pack) narrows the list to exactly one slice of work.
  • Filters sheet — status, counterparty type and project — applied to the list as removable chips.
  • Thread detail — opens with the AI summary and next step first, then the message timeline (subjects and previews only — full content stays in Outlook).
  • Actions — Reclassify, Reply (opens the mail app), and Open in Outlook. The app never sends mail itself — it hands off safely.
Provenance is visible

What this screen does
  • Reclassify — the human override: change quadrant, status or project. Choosing Delegate reveals the recipient picker. Manual decisions always win over the AI and are audited.
  • Forward to Outlook — delegation creates a draft forward in the user's mailbox addressed to the delegate — the user reviews and sends from Outlook. The app never sends mail.

  • Quick actions — Email and Call hand off to the phone's own apps.
  • Interactions — the recent email timeline — subjects and dates only. There is deliberately no message content in Atlas.

What this screen does
  • Queues hub — four work queues with live counts: Review (16), Unassigned (1,656), Merge candidates (97), Project proposals (411). Visible to every member.
  • Review — the AI's low-confidence category guesses — one tap to confirm, with a 5-second undo.
  • Merge candidates — suspected duplicate pairs, compared side-by-side with the difference highlighted. Merge is the one action that asks for explicit confirmation — it can't be undone.
  • Project proposals — project names the AI extracted from email subjects — confirm as a real project, or reject.

What this screen does
  • Loading — stable skeletons while the list loads.
  • Empty search — a no-match state with a one-tap reset.
  • All clear — an empty queue is good news, and looks like it.
  • Error & no access — honest failure states; entitlement denials never log the user out.

WHERE THIS STANDS

Design Complete — Ready to Build

Both modules are specified to build-ready depth: UX designs, engineering designs, and the API contracts behind every screen.
SHELL

Sign-in live on Android + iOS
TRIAGE
Designed
UX + engineering specs locked
ATLAS
Designed
UX + engineering specs locked
HUB
Next
Same pattern, design to follow
TAKEAWAY:  Three products become one app. The shell is already running with live Microsoft sign-in; Triage and Atlas are designed screen-for-screen against their real APIs — the build can start immediately.
